Helping you smell good and be good for nearly 10 years.
I love to play.
My perfumery is built on a foundation of chemistry, material science, art, and history, but at heart I'm a befuddled wizard who delights in mischief. I love discovering strange things, chasing improbable concepts, asking absurd questions, and then doubling down on absurd answers.
I love to teach, too. Did you know that the smell of rain has a name? That some of the most beautiful fragrances in the world are made with materials that smell absolutely terrible on their own? That a smell can bring back a memory you haven't thought about in decades?
I could talk about this stuff all day. Sometimes I do.
But more than anything, I want to encourage people to be curious. To try new things. To be a little braver, a little kinder, and a little more willing to find magic in the ordinary.
I believe scent is one of the most extraordinary ways we have to understand the world. It tells stories about people, places, and moments in time. It's chemistry and art, memory and imagination, all tangled up together. In my laboratory, those things are practically interchangeable.
And I believe that smelling good can help us feel good, and feeling good makes it a little easier to go out into the world and do good.
We have one precious life. I think we ought to have some fun with it.
So when you come into the Fumery, I hope you'll learn something fascinating, laugh at something stupid, and leave with your mood a little brighter, your confidence a little higher, and your heart a little lighter.
We walk in the dark to serve the light around here. Sometimes we make perfume while we're at it.
