Aqua Mellis – Honey Water Perfume Oil

A faithful recreation of the 1691 "honey water" formula from The Complete Course of Chemistry by George Wilson.

Aqua Mellis by Strange Fire & Fumery is a luxurious, historically inspired fragrance crafted to capture the essence of 17th-century perfumery. Using authentic ingredients and meticulous techniques, this perfume oil is a true labor of love, combining historical accuracy with modern refinement.

St-Rémy XO brandy infused with virgin clover honey, coriander, cloves and nutmeg with extractions of Sumatran benzoin and Turkish storax.

The infusion is amended with Papua New Guinea Tahitensis vanilla beans, damask rose water, orange blossoms, reconstructed animal-free ambergris, and a house musk absolute.

Due to the short lived nature of spirits-based fragrances, a natural fixative was added for enhanced scent longevity while remaining true to the spirit of the original formula.
