Pecan Whisky Hungary Water Perfume
Hungary water is one of the oldest forms of alcohol-based perfumes, traditionally infusing rosemary, thyme, and other herbs in brandy. I decided to do a fun take on it using Revel Stoke pecan whisky.
I steeped rosemary, thyme, and lavender in the whisky for several weeks, and when it matured, I drew some off to use as a base for incense dough using the herbs. I topped it off with a bit of Tahitian vanilla, vetiver, and a hint of tobacco accord for a blend that is slow, smooth, and cozy with a gorgeous drydown.
You'll love the non-cloying sweetness of the pecan note, the warm vanilla that I chose to keep it from going too gourmand, and the vetiver and tobacco accord really bring it home as a wearable, comforting, scent as at home at a bourbon tasting as it is at board games in front of a fire.
